THE BIG GIVE

THE NEXT Vision and Game Plan Presentation for the Big Give Dates (2025)Theme: "Building a Safe Sanctuary: Together We Build the Future of Elevation Life Center."

Step 1: Cast the Vision

Key Scriptures:

  • 1 Chronicles 28:2-7: King David’s passion for building a sanctuary for the Lord.

  • Matthew 6:21 (AMP): “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Key Points to Emphasize:

  • Purpose of the Project: To build a safe, welcoming sanctuary for worship, growth, and community impact.

  • Why It Matters: Highlight the need for a space that aligns with Elevation Life Center’s mission to transform lives and expand the kingdom of God.

  • God’s Call: Reinforce that this vision aligns with biblical examples of building for God’s glory.

Step 4: Present the Plan

How to Deliver It:

Launch Announcement Service (January 2025):

  • Use a dynamic service led by Pastors James and Angela Scruggs to officially announce the campaign.

  • Incorporate testimonies, visual aids, and a clear call to action.

Big Give Reminders:

  • Create flyers, slides, and social media posts leading up to each Big Give date.

  • Incorporate countdowns during Sunday services.

Share Regular Updates:

  • Report progress after each Big Give Sunday.

  • Use visuals like a fundraising thermometer to show how close Elevation Life Center is to the goal.

Step 2: Share the Goal

Goal: Raise $150,000 in 2.5 years to build a new sanctuary for Elevation Life Center.

Breakdown for Members:

  • Members are encouraged to donate the cost of 1 dinner per week or 1 Starbucks coffee per day as a sacrifice above and beyond tithes.

Step 5: Engage Members

Strategies:

Involve Everyone:

  • Encourage participation from every member, regardless of ability to give the full amount.

  • Emphasize unity over dollar amounts.

Small Groups:

  • Use small groups or ministry teams to encourage accountability and excitement.

Creative Fundraising:

  • Organize community fundraising efforts (bake sales, car washes, etc.) as additional opportunities to give.

Step 3: Teach the Principles of Giving

Key Points:

  • Recognize the Source                   (1Chronicles 29:14-17, NLT):

    • All resources come from God, and giving back is an act of worship.

    • God entrusts resources to us to invest in His work.

  • Give Willingly                                         (Exodus 35:4-5, 20-22):

    • Cast the vision, and God will stir hearts to give.

    • Emphasize joyful, voluntary giving.

  • Experience Overflow         (Exodus 36:3-7, AMP):

    • When everyone contributes, there will be more than enough.

Step 6: Celebrate Milestones

Celebrate Each Big Give Date:

  • Highlight testimonies of members who’ve experienced blessings through giving.

  • Use these services to showcase God’s faithfulness and provide updates on the project.

Key Scripture:

  • Romans 8:32: God has already given us His Son—He will also freely give us everything we need.

Step 7: Call to Action

Final Charge:

  • 1 Chronicles 29:5 (AMP): “Who is willing to consecrate themselves to the Lord today?”

  • Ask every member to prayerfully commit to the vision.

  • Provide pledge cards or a digital commitment form for members to declare their participation.
